Tribute To Cinema
The "Tribute to Cinema" project started out as a way for me to continue being part of the cinematic world when I wasn't working as a still photographer on sets.
At first, I wanted to have actors and actresses impersonate their movie or tv series "heroes". It was, for me, way more fun than traditional headshots and a way, for them, to show their range and be cast in different roles.
Then, it became my main work. I realized I wanted to be both in front and behind the lense. It was a way to express myself and have fun by recreating my favorite movies and impersonate the different characters that moved me. My self-portraits became my main focus but I also took pictures of my friends, my family, and worked with clients (not necessarily people from the industry) on the side.
Films and series are a huge part of my life (if not every part) and doing this project is never boring. It's also a way to talk about my fears, my joys, my mental health without actually having to verbally talk about them. But, above all, it's fun! It's challenging creatively and therapeutic!
If you're an actress, an actor or anyone else who's interested in having your portrait taken this way, contact me! Or shop some of these images below in the shop section of this website!
